By holding its first-ever Blood Drive on April 29, 2008, community-minded Atlantic Bay Mortgage Group has added the American Red Cross to its corporate list of non-profit partners. The Red Cross’ Bloodmobile collected donations at Atlantic Bay’s Virginia Beach offices on Virginia Beach Blvd. and North Great Neck Road. Seventeen pints of blood were donated by Atlantic Bay employees. “We’re looking to hold two blood drives a year,” says Atlantic Bay’s President Brian Holland. “Building better lives for the people in the communities we serve is at the core of our business, so giving ‘the gift of life’ by donating blood is a natural thing for us to do.”
Strongly tied to all of its local communities, Atlantic Bay is the state sponsor for the MS Walk, a drop-off site for Cell Phones for Soldiers and creator and facilitator of the Angel Tree for the Elderly program. In business since 1997, employing more than 200 people and recognized in 2003 as one of Inc. 500’s fastest growing companies, Atlantic Bay Mortgage Group has received the Best Mortgage Company in Virginia Beach award for the past 9 years in a row in the Pilot’s Readers Choice Awards, as well as Best Mortgage Company in most of the other Hampton Roads cities. The mortgage banking group is headquartered in Virginia Beach, Virginia, with 15 offices in Virginia and the Carolinas. Atlantic Bay finances millions of mortgage dollars every month for clientele ranging from reverse mortgage borrowers to private banking clients.

During the Bloodmobile’s first stop of the day, Mortgage Banker Robby Dobrinsky joins other Atlantic Bay Mortgage Group employees to donate blood at the company’s Va. Beach Blvd. office.
