A little more about me.

I love educating clients on the homebuying process because I, like many others, was left in the dark when it came to buying.

I’m a native of North Carolina and graduated from High Point Central High in High Point, NC. I later obtained my undergrad at Guilford College with a major in Criminal Justice and a minor in Human Resources, then my MBA at Strayer University. Oddly enough, the career I love more than any other is being in the mortgage industry, which doesn’t require a degree at all. While working in other industries, I would teach people who’d never owned a home what it takes to obtain a home; often, they’d be first-time homebuyers and the first in their families to purchase what was always perceived as impossible, a home. Additionally, I was homeless for a period in my life and lost everything. I had to start all over, so I know what it feels like to be looked upon as though you’re nothing.

I have more than ten years of mortgage experience, and I really enjoy helping people, regardless of their background, obtain their dream home. People choose to work with me because I don’t just pull credit, I take a complete application so I can tell you where you are and what it’ll take to get to where you want to be. We all have our own unique set of circumstances.

I specialize in Government loans, VA, FHA, and USDA (I do Conventional as well) because most of the clients I help don’t always have perfect credit or the means to make a large down payment. As a disabled veteran myself, I understand how a well-versed Mortgage Banker can result in being placed in the right loan program versus the wrong loan program. The first home I bought was with a Conventional loan because my Loan Officer wasn’t familiar with VA loans. I found out years later about the differences in loan programs, so I vowed to always do what is best for the clients rather than view them as “just another number.”
