Atlantic Bay Mortgage Group® welcomes Senior Mortgage Banker Cara Erickson, who brings an impressive 8 years of experience in the mortgage industry. Following her teaching career, Cara started out as a mortgage banker assistant, then transitioned to a junior mortgage banker, and has since crafted her passion for helping millennials, military families, and first-time homebuyers into their dream homes.

Cara says, “the best feeling in the world is telling someone they’ve been approved for a loan, and even better is when their loan has been cleared to close. This is not just a house to them, but a place where their children will grow up, learn how to ride a bike, have birthday parties, host send offs to proms and graduations, and every milestone in between and thereafter. Having personal connections with all of my clients, along with knowing that I’ve helped them accomplish their goals of not just buying a home, but more importantly, a space of their own to create memories, means the world to me.”

Cara has assisted over 500 families in her career, is licensed in Virginia and North Carolina, and is a member of Hampton Roads REALTORS® Association. Having earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology, along with a Master of Arts in education at the College of William & Mary, she’s equipped with knowledge and a dependable work ethic. When she’s not working hard to help her neighbors in the community achieve the American Dream, you can find her baking, travelling, watching sports, going to the beach, or visiting vineyards. Cara also enjoys relaxing with her husband, Brandon, son, Hudson, and stepson, Christian.
