A little more about me.
I do what I do because I love seeing people who never thought they’d own a home, for whatever reason, be cleared to close.
How did I get started in the mortgage industry? It’s a long story… A few years ago, I was living in Texas. I was the co-owner of a construction company, the worship pastor at my local church, and the head of an e-commerce business. But in 2015, I was in a bad car accident. Shortly after, my wife Ashley and I got pregnant with our first child. Ashley was born and raised in Dalton, Georgia, and we didn’t want to be 1K miles away from her family any longer. So, we picked up everything and moved in Fall 2016.
Due to my injuries, my father-in-law, a Mortgage Originator at the time, got me a job as a Processor at the local community bank. I learned the business from the inside out and made connections with local realtors, attorneys, and insurance agents. Not long after, I got my NMLS license and took over my father-in-law’s book of business when he retired in November 2017.
Today, I serve families across Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, and Florida. I specialize in assisting first-time homebuyers, Veterans, rural development, and Construction loans. But if you’re employed and have a pulse (lol), I can always help you!
I enjoy taking broken things and making them beautiful. There are so many misconceptions about our industry, so I work every day to bring awareness to them and simplify the overcomplications. For that reason, I’m not afraid of the difficult conversations. I believe we can’t all win unless we work together, we can’t work together if we don’t have a common goal, and we can’t have a common goal unless we communicate. I’ve been told “you can’t” by people in my life, but that’s only fueled me to prove them wrong. I never give up without a fight.
I’m an affiliate of the Carpet Capital Association of REALTORS®, and I’m a member of the Chattanooga Mortgage Bankers Association. In my free time, I love playing, writing, and/or singing music. I also enjoy working out, remodeling, and building things. But most of all, I adore spending time with Ashley and our two sons, Callen and Silas.
