During her 17-year career in the mortgage industry, Heather Todd has helped over 4,000 families achieve their dreams of owning a home. Her comprehensive knowledge of underwriting guidelines helps her communicate with underwriters at a very high level to speed her client’s loan through underwriting.
Heather Todd was attending college and working in a bank in 1998 when her best friend encouraged her to try the mortgage industry. It sounded fun so she decided to apply for the job and was hired. Heather progressed though the organization and learned all phases of the mortgage process from originator to team leader to manager to company consultant. She joined Atlantic Bay in 2011.
Heather says, “You just have to be genuine and really care about people. I think that is really important because people are scared in this process, especially first time home buyers. I take great pride in going through the mortgage process with them. I go over the application first. Then I give them a folder with the do’s and don’ts of buying a home and a copy of Loanopoly, which basically lays out a road map of the process. I go over each block to let them now what they can expect, what the timeframe is, and what the order is.”
