I’ve seen a lot of changes in the mortgage industry and there’s a lot involved. I love being there for my clients every step of the way.
Jan Townley joined the mortgage industry in 2004. She helps all types of homebuyers achieve their dream of homeownership.
Very early in her career, Jan was working as assistant for her sister, a top-producing real estate agent. When her sister offered to pass her business to Jan, she announced that she wanted to be a loan officer, not an agent, and help people with their mortgages. “My clients rely on me to be there for them. They want someone who’s going to be open and honest with them and available to answer their questions,” Jan says. “I want the best for my clients because I treat people the way I want to be treated.”
Jan has a natural warmth and a genuine desire to help people, which puts them at ease. She often helps educate clients on steps they can take to improve their credit to qualify for a mortgage or for a better rate. “I love helping people turn their financial situation around so they can have a brighter future,” she says. “Purchasing a home is a monumental event in people’s lives. This is a big purchase and can be very scary, especially for first time homebuyers.”
Jan is involved with the Council for Quality Growth, a non-profit organization that helps develop new initiatives for education, infrastructure, and quality-of-life issues throughout the metro Atlanta region and the state.
