Passionate, enthusiastic and energetic, Linda Brandt’s mission is simple: work hard, educate, communicate and truly care about her clients. An advocate for the homebuyer, her ultimate goal is to help people buy a home and close their loan on time.

After working in marketing for over 20 years both in the corporate world and as a self-employed marketing consultant, Linda Brandt was ready for a change. She says, “I was open to new opportunities that would allow me to make a difference in people’s lives.” She talked to a friend who owned a mortgage brokerage firm who suggested she try the mortgage business. Linda says, “I joined the mortgage field in 2013 and I absolutely love it!” Joining Atlantic Bay in 2015, she says, “Atlantic Bay is a company that puts clients first, backed by technology and systems that make the process smoother.”

Linda asks a lot of questions to, first, understand the home buyer’s situation and, second, to grasp their knowledge with the mortgage process before she gives any advice. She says, “When I understand their situation, I can suggest a variety of loan options based on what they are trying to accomplish and their budget. First, a comprehensive review of income, assets and debts takes place to give a total picture with which I can provide loan recommendations. Once buyers come to a final conclusion, I walk them through the steps of obtaining a mortgage. They can either fill out the application online or in person at my office. I then follow up with an email outlining the list of documents I will need to accompany the application. It’s important to me they that understand all the stages, so I walk them through the steps again after the application is signed to eliminate any surprises. Throughout the mortgage process, I send status updates to keep everyone informed. I’m accessible anytime to answer questions.”

She says, ”I take an enormous amount of time outlining options and the process so, by the time my clients sign an application, they understand what they’re signing and they’re confident. My awesome team and I monitor their loan every day to make sure it is proceeding smoothly. I work closely not with only the borrower, but also with the realtors and attorney involved. It is so rewarding to go to the closing table and have clients give you a hug, say thank you for making it happen and know that the very next day they are moving into a place they can call their own.”

Linda volunteers in the community with the Alzheimer’s Association, The Council on Aging, and Land of Sky Board of Realtors. She is also the Past Board Chair of the Asheville Chamber of Commerce.
