Right from the start, I knew this was the industry for me.

After spending two years doing loans (home equity, HELOCs, lot loans, car loans, etc.) for a large bank holding firm, I officially jumped ship to the mortgage world in October 2013 with the purpose of solely focusing on home loans. Now, I’m a fully licensed Atlantic Bay Mortgage Banker, serving all of North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia.

Meeting new people, developing relationships, and helping others achieve the homeownership dream is why I do what I do. Often, clients will come to me and say that they’ve been turned down by other lenders in the past. It’s a great feeling to be able to let them know that they DO qualify for a home loan. Many lenders choose the easy way out – qualifying clients for programs just because they’re familiar with the terms or they don’t require much effort. But this usually ends with clients in the wrong program for their situation.

One of the best parts of this job is helping first-time homebuyers navigate through the lending process. We make a special point to explain the process thoroughly and be with you every step of the way to answer any questions or concerns. We want our borrowers to feel comfortable because, in many cases, your home is the biggest and most important purchase you’ll ever have to make.

For move-up homebuyers and existing homeowners, we specialize in developing wealth-building strategies. We show move-up buyers strategies to reinvest profits from the sale of their home. That way, they won’t just get the best terms on their new loan, but they’ll also learn how to improve their cash flow or, potentially, how to invest in other properties.

In my downtime, I love to be around the water. Swimming, going to the beach, or riding out on the boat, it doesn’t matter. My husband David is a farmer, so we also spend a lot of time on the farm with our kids, Zoe and Chase, riding side-by-sides and having family and friends over.
