Virginia Beach, VA – On April 25, 2019, Atlantic Bay Mortgage Group® raised over $21,000 during their 3rd annual Golf Fore Gratitude Tournament, held at Heron Ridge Golf Club in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Over 60 companies and 116 players were involved in helping make the golf tournament a success, including generous sponsorship donations and donated raffle prizes. The net proceeds from the golf tournament will be donated between Bike MS and Roc Solid Foundation. “These non-profits do so much good for our community, and we are happy and privileged to give back to these great organizations to help support and advance their missions,” said Brian Holland, CEO of Atlantic Bay. Atlantic Bay is excited to be a corporate partner with Roc Solid. Roc Solid works hard to build hope for families and children fighting pediatric cancer. From providing families with the essentials for a hospital stay in the form of Ready Bags, to their Play It Forward initiative that gives children a backyard playset as a space for kids to just be kids, Roc Solid understands the importance of helping families and children maintain positivity during a trying time. "We are so grateful for our friends at Atlantic Bay and the opportunity to be a part of this event," said Eric Newman, Chief Player Officer of Roc Solid Foundation. "Atlantic Bay truly believes in what we do and has become a huge part of growing our mission to build hope for kids fighting cancer. We couldn't do what we do without their support." Bike MS is the fundraising cycling series of the National MS Society. Raising more money than any other charity cycling event, Bike MS volunteers, donors, and cyclists have contributed more than $1 billion to aid in MS research and support of individuals affected by the disease. “Bike MS is very honored to have been chosen once again as one of the non-profit organizations to receive proceeds from Atlantic Bay's 3rd Annual Golf Fore Gratitude Tournament. This was a fantastic event and we were thrilled to have been a part of it for the third year,” said Karla McCarraher, Director of Bike MS.
Atlantic Bay honored the top teams and contest winners at a dinner and awards ceremony after the tournament. Gift cards, golf gear, and Atlantic Bay branded merchandise were among many of the prizes awarded to golfers.
