With 25 years of experience building and managing Atlantic Bay Mortgage Group® offices on Virginia’s Peninsula, John Baldwin has a vast knowledge and range of experiences spanning the entire mortgage process. Joining Atlantic Bay in 1999, he has helped more than 1,000 clients finance their homes through VA, Jumbo, Conventional, FHA, and USDA loans.

John has spent years structuring deals and helping people finance loans. Friendly and knowledgeable, he thinks like his customers and has their best interest at heart, from the meet-and-greet to the follow-up and every step in between.

John says, “The first thing I do is ask clients what they are looking for — and then I listen.” John’s listening skills and ability to build strong relationships allow him to dig deep into the discussion to identify clients’ needs and advise them effectively. He says, “I tell my clients, ‘Here’s where I see this going, based on your credit report and what you have told me you want to do.’ I try to give them an idea of what will come next so they know what to expect going forward.”
