The team here at Atlantic Bay Mortgage Group® has been named a 2026 USA Today Top Workplace, an honor determined entirely by the people who show up to the office every day.

This is not our first recognition of this kind, and to be completely honest, it never gets old. But what makes this one worth pausing on is the source. The USA Today Top Workplaces program bases its rankings solely on confidential employee surveys measuring things like leadership, culture, engagement, and career development. You can't buy your way onto this list. You either earn it or you don't.

Built on 30 Years

Atlantic Bay was founded in 1996 and has operated under the same ownership since day one. That kind of stability is increasingly rare in this industry.

With more than 600 employees and an average tenure of seven years across the organization, Atlantic Bay is a place where people tend to stay.

Not because they have to, but because the culture is genuinely worth protecting.

Hear From the “Top Workplacers”

So, what does our culture look like in practice? Just ask the people living it.

"What I love the most — we are one big family," says Robby Dobrinsky, Sr. Mortgage Banker. "I love that I can call my team members and talk things through. Other companies... not so much."

That sense of connection runs deep, even for those who've worked elsewhere. "Coming from a big banking background, the fresh approach of a small company and the values instilled in it was a big reason I wanted this to be my last stop," says Bob Williams, Sr. Mortgage Banker. "Even through the growth, the culture has never changed."

It also shows up when it matters most. "When an issue arises that could affect your paycheck or your ability to do your job, it matters," says Charlie Wentz, Area Manager. "Having corporate support from people who are willing to step in, get involved, and actually pick up the phone is hard to replace — and honestly, really hard to find."

And it shows up in how people do business. "The way I did business in the past is not the way I do business today," says Laura Wise, Producing Area Manager. "At Atlantic Bay, we sell value, we build relationships, and we foster open, honest communication. What stands out most to me is the willingness here to share, collaborate, and support one another."

This One Belongs to the Team

This recognition belongs to every person at Atlantic Bay who shows up, does the work, and makes this place what it is. You built this culture. You protect it. And apparently, when asked about it anonymously, you told the truth.

That means everything.

And if you happen to be someone on the outside looking in, well... we might know a place.
